On her debut Album, Breezy asks, “Have You Noticed?”

On Breezy Love's debut album, the 20-year-old experimental pop-folk singer-songwriter explores the moments in which the world isn't paying attention.  By tackling difficult subjects such as religion, loss, body image, love, anxiety, racism, family, social media, and the Me Too Movement, she is able to make listeners think critically. The album will have you asking what it is you’ve noticed and what it is you may have overlooked.  Sonically expanding a variety of genres, from indie-pop, country-rock, to americana & blues, there is truly something for everyone.

Breezy’s Story

American singer-songwriter Breezy Love was born and raised in the small town of Winnetka, IL on the north shore of Chicago.  Despite coming from an un-musical family, Breezy quickly developed a deep love for music and the stage; starting singing lessons at eight, teaching herself guitar at twelve, and beginning to act in musical theater at nine.  At 14, Love discovered her passion for songwriting and took her first trip to Nashville to follow in the footsteps of her idols. Since her first visit, Love has returned frequently to co-write with other writers, perform, and absorb the city that inspires her. With a variety of influences and inspirations from Fiona Apple to Regina Spektor to Kacey Musgraves and Joni Mitchell, Love's music is a unique blend of country-folk, indie-pop, and americana.

At 17 Breezy moved to Michigan to pursue songwriting at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy.  As one of thirty singer-songwriter students from around the globe, she took great pleasure in learning alongside her talented peers.  As a part of her daily studies, Love was taught by industry professionals Courtney Kaiser-Sandler, Kyle Novy, Matthew Cochran, and second runner up on NBC’s The Voice, Joshua Davis.  It was her private songwriting instructor Kyle Novy, however, who inspired her most.  Proceeding her junior year, Breezy won NASA’s 2019 Humans in Space Arts Youth Competition's highest artistic honor: 1st Place Overall Art Category (Music [All Types], ages 14-18).  Additionally, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) & the American Theatre Wing’s Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge named her song “Hanging on Life '' as 1 of 6 Regional Finalists from across the U.S.  As part of the contest, Breezy was assigned a coaching team of two highly established musical theater professionals: César Alvarez, a Larson Award recipient, and Patrick Sulken, a broadway musical director.  “Hangin’ on Life,” was re-recorded in NYC’s Reservoir Studios by Broadway actress Jessie Shelton.  Senior year, Breezy was personally selected by her teachers for a Miami tour, which included a sold-out show at New World Center.

Further songwriting accolades include: 2020 YoungArts Winner, 2020 A.C.F. Next Notes Composition Awards, 2020 Michigan Music Education Association (MMEA) Honors Composition Contest, top 5 of the Great American Song Contest’s Alt/Rock Category 2021, and most recently, the Gold Award in the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest 2021.

Breezy continues to make a name for herself across the midwest and beyond, as she self-booked a successful tour through the state of Michigan this past summer, alongside her friend Haiven Sellers. With the recent release of her debut album, “Have You Noticed?", Love hopes to establish an even deeper connection with listeners, as well as bring in more. Breezy currently lives in Asheville, NC.
